study on Anatomical Contour and Incidence of Mesiodens

Abstract
|
|
|
I studied 210 mesiodens extracted from 47,975 (male ; 23,221, female ; 24,754) children in primary School, Jeon Ju city and got the following results.
1. The incidence of mesiodens was 0.44%, male was 0.08% higher than female.
2. The mesio-distal diameter and the length of mesiodens were 4.28 and 13.9mm.
3. 64.8% of mesiodens was curved, and 35.2% was almost straight.
4. 74.3% of mesiodens was Conical shaped crown, 0.9 %.has 2 roots.
